Thrown off 3000ad forums, was the only honest guy there!

Apparently Derek thought that Starforce and online activation  were
necessary to protect his latest revision of his game…you know the same
game he’s repackaged four times.
I said on his ‘state-controlled’ forum that I thought that was a
bone-headed decision, and that I would keep my money.  That was too much
honesty for Derek and away I went.  Which was fine, he has waaay too much
control over every aspect thata his product is enjoyed. He claims ownership
of any fan-fiction written, he’s the absolute head of the multiplayer
community, where players have to join ‘fleets’ in order to have access to
multiplayer servers.  If he doesnt like something a player does on one of
‘his’ servers he orders the ‘fleet commander’ to boot him.
Ive always seen these overly-controlling, pschyo tendencies that Ive
always read about him, but tried to overlook for whatever reason, I just
cant anymore.  Ive seen him break promise after promise, claim bugs were
fixed when they werent, move features into the next version saying they were
never planned even though they were shown on the game box.
I totally see why his forum underlings are labeled Toadies, they call
him Boss, Jesus what happened to these guys spine?
I had an idea back when Derek claimed BCM would still have
multiplayer, that I would setup my own web page and game server.  Call it
something like "Free-cruiser: Because space is too big for bullshit".

Poor Mister Fraud Smart suffers from a very severe case of a personality
disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder. This is a personality disorder
that I like to refer to as the asshole personality disorder. Most any NPD
individual is probably an asshole. Someone that used to work with me, I
believe, has the same disorder. The sad part of that story is that she is
turning her two little boys into future NPD’s. For example, she told me that
she had beaten her sixth grader because he had the audacity to request
permission to pick out his own clothes to wear each morning before school.
When I told her that I thought that he just wanted to grow up and that part
of growing up was deciding what to wear every day, she acted totally stunned
because she had apparently assumed that he had made his request just to
hassle her. She’s told me similar stories like her kids asking to pick out
their own food at a fast food restaurant and them having to be beaten for
their audacity. Mr. Fraudman is probably turning his own kid into a future
pathetic human being, another little asshole in his own image.

Isn’t that right Derek Smart? You were beaten as a kid, beaten into being a
pathetic individual with NPD? You now are probably busy passing on your
disorder to your own defenseless little kid?

Being part of GALCOM isn’t just playing a game – it’s a way of life.
Only Real Men of the Right Stuff are up to it.  If you can’t take
orders, sonny, then there is no place in GALCOM for you.  Stop

Real Men of the Right Stuff huh??

    Ok keep telling yourself that.

Now quickly run back to the 3000ad board and post to derek, because PM’ing
him without his permission will anger him, and tell all you see that you
defended derek’s honor and the whole site. Tell them that Im one of the
dim-witted masses who live in ignorance of derek’s glory, that I certainly
wasn’t bright enough to understand such a complex game(s) as what derek
makes, nevermind that Ive run BCMG and UC servers in the past that anyone
    could join.

I know I know, how dare me directly tell derek he was wrong.

What flavor KoolAide does Mr. Smart make you drink?

good God man. I’ve not seen someone so brainwashed and wrapped
up in the fanboy blanket in a long, long time.    The original poster,
and Bill, made excellent and accurate posts about Mr. Smart’s rude,
childish and narcissistic behavior.  You have to be blind not to see
    it for yourself.

The game may be improving, but Mr. Smart is a horses ass, and
anyone with half a brain can see that.  So my question to you is,
what happened to the other half of your brain?

Sometimes I despair of what people have become.  If you can’t see the
GOOD that Derek Smart is doing, then you need the other half of your
brain removed, and flushed down the toilet like the first half.

Why can’t you people see what is occurring?  There is a WAR going on,
and all you can do is whinge about whether asteroids are intelligent,
or the stars are octagonal or dodecahedral; don’t be such fools – what
is important is that the enemy are encroaching on our systems; the
threat is not just a fantasy – it’s immediate; it’s here, and it’s
    here now.

    BUt that’s OK.  Sit on your backside.  Let the Real Men do the job;
you probably aren’t up to it anyway.  We’ll win the war without you.
I’ll post you a white feather when I get home.

Sorry, but it’s not my cup of tea. However, I’ll suck up to the dog and let

Lemming: you are my hero.  I’m going to change the name of all my cats to
"Lemming".  Then, I’m going to buy 21 stars on staregistry.com and name
    them all "Lemming".

I’m a bit disappointed that you didn’t answer the question about the flavor

be bothered with such trivialities.  Having said that: it’s grape, isn’t

    bulletins.

Some vanity email address domains are banned from this site. If you are
using one of these, you would need to register using your primary ISP
    assigned email address.

In addition to NOT allowing some vanity (free email), we will still
delete your posts (you must be registered in order to post) and your
record at the FIRST hint of an infraction of our rules. And we will
take your IP mask and ban the ENTIRE domain subnet.

We have to take this stance because too many online game sites are a
haven for disruptors and flamewars. Neither of which are tolerated
    here.

We DO check this stuff. We check the name, alias, ISP, even the IP. If
any of this looks bogus or is even linked in ANY way to someone we know
to be a detractor, distruptor, you’re not getting in. PERIOD. And if by
some fluke you DO get in, once we do our daily registration runs, you
    will be discovered and removed.

That’s that. Now read the rest of this blurb please.

Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is
impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of
information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the
contents of this BB and are not responsible for any messages posted. We
do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of
any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.
The messages express the views of the author of the message, not
necessarily the views of this BB. Any user who feels that a posted
message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by
email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will
make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we
determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however,
so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular
    messages immediately.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this
BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory,
inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane,
sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or
    otherwise violative of any law.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is
owned by you or by this BB.

Although we do not and cannot review the messages posted and are not
responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the
right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain
solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to
indemnify and hold harmless this BB (and any owners of this BB) and
their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your
    message(s).

We also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever
information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal
action arising from any message posted by you.

Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and
solicitations are inappropriate in this BB.

Also, many domains that offer vanity email address (deja.com etc), will
not be allowed to register to post on this board. If you want to post,
you will have to register using your primary ISP. The only vanity
emails allowed are yahoo and hotmail. This is to prevent troublemakers
who have been banned, from creating new aliases and re-registering on
    the site. "

Bret, you are such a suck-up. I just named a pair of underwear after
Lem and he was damn lucky to get that!
